Everyone who’s been following me for awhile knows I like release my images in sets of 3.
I like the playful colors in this set. I’m glad I put it out for people to see 🙂

How do you all feel about this lighting and style in comparison to my usual work?
It’s definitely different 🙂

One of the things I find so interesting and captivating about Laz’s shots are her emotive facial expressions. I love this look. This is one of her signature expressions. What do we think about Laz? Have you all enjoyed her shots this week?

Laz was so professional and cool to shoot with. She comes prepared and ready to shoot, knows her poses and, can find the light! I’ll definitely be shooting her again when our timelines align 🙂

What has everyone thought of the series? Have you tried this kind of shoot?

Here’s the “gift” I mentioned:
Would it surprise any of you to find out that this isn’t actually a true golden hour shot? This was manufactured using strobe and gels! Doesn’t it look legit?! There’s actually a strobe on the other side of this window. It’s setup tall and facing at a downward angle (to mimic the sun) and, I have it remotely firing through the blinds. Isn’t that cool. I LOVE the creativity involved with photography. I don’t NEED a sunny day to take sunny portraits; just a little bit of creativity.
Are any of you going to try this? You need a pretty powerful strobe and you need some quality CTO gels. 1 or 2 should do it.
Let me know how it goes for you if you try it!
Have a happy weekend!
Smiles are contagious. Spread the love by spreading the smiles 🙂

I learn so much when I do self shoots. I had a ton of fun capturing these. Enjoy!

P.s. Stick around til the end of the series. I have something for you 🙂
This a portrait photo from quite a while ago that I just never got around to editing and finalizing until recently. This is definitely one of my preferred angle of capture for self shots. I think it flatters me very much. What are you thoughts on this low key portrait type? Do you prefer high key? Lighter backgrounds? Or do you prefer this look? This is a 1-light mobile setup but you’d never know it from the shot 🙂

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this image. I didn’t title it because, I didn’t want to guide anyone’s observations.
What does this image make you think? Feel? What do you see?
Everyone sees art differently and, I’d love to hear everyone’s raw take 🙂
