This is the last image in the series and the last headshot for now. I hope you’ve all enjoyed the journey as much as I have enjoyed sharing it. Of course I wanted to leave you with a joyous shot. Something to lift your spirits after a long or difficult work week.
Something to revitalize you as you go into your well-deserved weekend off from work. And if you’re working the weekend then, something to help you power through it!

It’s Wednesday and as we continue with our project, I wanted to give you another shot that I’m proud and thought would make you glance for a little while longer at the depth of the expression. I wonder how this and the other gel shots have been affecting their viewers.
Drop me a comment in the section below. I’d love what people are thinking.
We’re back and continuing the series we started last week. I realized something after I posted the images last week. I have to edit my headshots with a higher degree of scrutiny if I want them to look as polished as my full lenght portraits.
I started out doing headshots and left them behind for awhile. I know the level to which I used to edit my older shots and I told myself it was no longer necessary. For full-length shots, that’s absolutely true.
For these shots I’m going to show you this week, there has been quite a lot of time put into editing. More so than even last week’s shots.
Anyway… enjoy! 🙂
First off, Happy Friday!! 🙂
I wanted to round out the week with a high-energy shot. A mood, color and expression to lift your moods as you go into your weekends. How’d I do? What does this shot make you feel? Does the yellow boost your energy a little bit? Is the expression worthy of a “Hanif Williams Photography- Friday” post? 🙂
Oh yes.. We’re doing more gel shots and they’re not going to all be happy and whimsical lol..
Different colors, different lighting, different expressions/moods.
I wanted to push myself and see what kinds of mood I could illustrate by mixing the lighting styles, background colors and facial expressions. What’s your take on the image I posted before two days ago? What’s your take on this one?

So I picked up a new flash last week and ordered some sheets so I could start experimenting with gels. Originally, I was just supposed to be familiarizing with myself with the new gear and I was just going to toss the shots afterwards. After I finished up and got the shots on my cpu, I realized that some of them were actually quite good.
So, here you guys go.. A series of self-portraits with gelled strobes. I like this one because it’s almost whimsical in it’s appearance. Look for more of these to come this week!
PS- Now you can all see my mug a little more often. Enjoy! 🙂
Ghrase is such an amazing model .
Check out her IG-
if you doubt what I’m telling you right now!
I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to work together again. I need to make this happen again. Anyway.. Enjoy the hump day or whatever we’re calling it these days lol.
C’mon. Look at the pose and tell me this isn’t a fun image to look at. I mean, that’s what we’re after, right? Creating images that intrigue people or provoke thoughts or, help tell someone’s story.
This pose is Melissa through and through. There’s no better shot to help usher you into a fun-filled, relaxing weekend. That’s a wrap for this week but, feel free to peruse my site and check out my other posts while you’re here.
Go create something! Or patronize someone else who does 😊
