boudoir, Girl Next Door, Portrait, strobe photographyThe goal here was to create a mock SuicideGirls.com set. I became a fan of the photo sets there because all the aesthetic when I joined up was pinup/girl-next-door boudoir. Who can’t relate to having a gorgeous neighbor? Lol..
Anyway- The whole point is to look cute and relatable without looking like you’re trying too hard. This is NOT an easy feat. It takes a lot of work from everyone involved to create a great photo set in this niche genre.
Baby T made it look hella easy but, I assure you, we WORKED this day lol..

This is definitely one of my preferred angle of capture for self shots. I think it flatters me very much. What are you thoughts on this low key portrait type? Do you prefer high key? Lighter backgrounds? Or do you prefer this look? This is a 1-light mobile setup but you’d never know it from the shot 🙂

Almost a year?? Crap.
PortraitHey followers and new viewers. As I was setting up to drop this post, I had a birds-eye view of all dates on my previous uploads and it hit me that it had been 11 months between Mar 2020 and Feb 2021 where I hadn’t posted at all.
I went from posting 3 times a week, to once a week, to somehow, finding myself not posting for almost a year. Has anyone else had this much of a drought on their website? I’d really like to hear about it in the comments.
This photo is from the same series as the other photo. I’m trying to get back to posting more content but, first, I need to get back to creating. Wish me luck!

PortraitHi internet people. I know it’s been awhile. I keep putting off writing because I’m iffy about unpacking all of last year and what it entailed. Maybe I’ll dig into it at some point. Maybe not. As I am trying to get back to posting more, take this photo from a recent self portrait shoot I did. I’m happy with its result 🙂

It’s such a great feeling when you form a connection with the people you’re photographing. It’s one of my favorite things about capturing people. The energy exchange is incredible when you have a good rapport. I can’t wait to start shooting this woman again 😊
